All owners are pleased that the Soleus Air PE2-08R-62 Evaporative Portable Air Conditioner, Dehumidifier and Fan, 8,000 BTUs cools well and seems to bring the temperature down in fifteen minutes or so.  They also like the fact that it comes with a remote.

This air conditioner has a reservoir that needs to be emptied when full.  The downside of this air conditioner is that the drain plug is so close to the floor that one must move it to drain it and often spills water in doing so.  One owner solved that issue by placing the air conditioner unit on a small platform where it was then easier to drain.

Portable air conditioners are a good solution for areas where it isn’t possible or practical to use a window unit. Portable air conditioners, while easy to install, can be an inconvenience to use, in that with some, you have to drain the reservoir periodically.  That is the case with this one and the drawback is that the drain plug is located so low on the unit that it is difficult to drain without spilling water.  Some owners have found the solution to be to place the air conditioner unit on a small platform or table.  Overall, aside from the inconvenience of emptying the reservoir, owners seem quite pleased with the Soleus Air PE2-08R-62 Evaporative Portable Air Conditioner, Dehumidifier and Fan, 8,000 BTUs and say that it cools well.
